We recommend not booking any flights out earlier than 5pm to ensure you don’t miss any Cowgirl Camp activities!

July 19 – 21

Day One:

Cowgirl Camp activities start at roughly noon, get checked in, assigned a tent and tentmate, lunch, get to know each other

Bear Aware, Leave No Trace lesson

Meet our equine partners for the weekend, get assigned tack, tack up

Afternoon ride

Learn how to plan backcountry rides

Supper

Time around the fire

Day Two:

Coffee is on at 6:00, breakfast is at 8:00

Grab a sack lunch, tack up, all day ride

Time for swimming if wanted

Evening lesson on packing 101

Supper

Day Three:

Coffee is on at 6:00, breakfast is at 8:00

Tack up, individual portraits with your horse

Morning ride

Back to base camp for lunch

Group photo and farewells – noonish

Who is this camp best suited for? Those of us who are rebuilding confidence, want to maximize their time in the saddle, and/or are new to the wilderness. This camp features a lot of riding time, a fair amount of education, and lots of time to build relationships with other horsewomen – all while enjoying the comfortable amenities of base camp.

July 26 – 28

Afternoon lesson on stock retention in the backcountry

Set up tents

Open fire cooking lesson/supper

Day Three:

Coffee is on at 6:00, breakfast is at 8:00

Tear down tents, pack up belongings

Tack up, individual portraits with your horse

Morning ride back to base camp

Lunch

Group photo and farewells – noonish

Who is this camp best suited for? Cowgirls who are keen to learn about backcountry riding and camping with their horses.

August 16 – 19
